I don't care what the critics say. Booed in Cannes? I heard there was more applause. It may not have been too historically accurate since it was based on only one biography, and attempts to humanize her may only have given her an image of, er, a bubblehead.

At any rate, there was a lot of eye candy, and plenty of the color pink. (I am not much into pastels, so it takes a lot for me to like pink.) And the costumes! The shoes! The Palace of Versailles! Entertaining, very. The soundtrack (Nu Wave and pop, among others) added that punch.

I would also like to add that the French do bathe. With their clothes on. Kidding.
